How much are the classes? Classes start at $65 and most are $75
How long are the classes? Classes are approximately 2 1/2- 3 hours long
Where are classes held? The kitchen is located at The Salvation Army Door of Hope, 2799 Health Center Drive, Building F, San Diego, CA 92123.
The entrance to the property is on Vista Hill Drive off of Health Center Dr, the first driveway on the right.
Press 03 on the keypad for us to open the gate. Once you enter, go straight back to the last building on your right, Building F. Proceed around the corner and you will see purple planter boxes on your right, the entrance to the kitchen is just to the right of those.
Is parking free? Parking is complimentary in any available spot.
What to wear: You will be active and standing during class so please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied in a ponytail. Aprons will be provided at the beginning of class.
Where are the classes held? All cooking classes will be held at Kitchens for Good’s Door of Hope location: Door of Hope Kitchen: 2799 Health Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92123
What is the maximum number of people per class? The maximum enrollment per class is 12 people. Classes will have an instructor and a Kitchens for Good apprentice in attendance.
Can I bring my child with me to class? Children aged 12 and over are allowed in class if they have a paid ticket and are accompanied by an adult.
What if I have food allergies/restrictions? Please notify Mary (mary@kitchensforgood.org) or Therese (therese@kitchensforgood.org) when purchasing a class of any allergies or dietary restrictions. Without advance notice, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your needs.
May I bring wine to the cooking class? Please notify us by email of this request at the time of purchase.
Can I use my mobile phone during class? Yes, we request that you step away or out of class to make calls or receive calls and please wash your hands before returning to class.
How do I cancel a class? We ask that any cancellations be made 48 hours in advance for a full refund or to reschedule for another class. Please call the Kitchens for Good SHOP (858) 999-0125 or email Mary (mary@kitchensforgood.org).
