Kitchens for Good Milestone Celebration

On June 26, we gathered to recognize the apprentices and entrepreneurs who reached important milestones over the past year.

The celebration honored 52 individuals who completed training, launched businesses, secured employment, and continued building brighter futures through hard work and determination.

Throughout the afternoon, participants shared what the experience has meant to them.

Thomas reflected on the direction his life has taken since joining the program: “I was on a bad road, and it put me back on the right path in life.”
Maria acknowledged the effort it takes to show up every day: “It was a struggle, and it was a journey, but now here I am.”
Matthew spoke about rebuilding after incarceration: “Kitchens for Good is the only people that are investing in me and look past my past.”
Jarrell talked about facing setbacks, receiving support, and finding the opportunity to return to the program and continue moving forward.
For Kevin, the celebration was especially meaningful because he was able to share it with his children. “Everything… so they can just see me achieving something.”

Each story was different, but they shared a common theme: when people have access to opportunity, practical support, and a chance to prove themselves, meaningful change happens.

Congratulations to Maria, Thomas, Matthew, Kevin, Jarrell, and every apprentice and entrepreneur we celebrated. We look forward to seeing what comes next.

To our supporters, partners, and community: thank you. Your investment makes these opportunities possible and helps create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and economic wellbeing.
