Employment is Just The Beginning

We’re excited to share that 100% of job-ready apprentices from our most recent class are employed within two weeks of completing their initial training.

For Kitchens for Good, this reflects the determination of the apprentices, the quality of our industry-informed training, and the strong relationship we’ve built with employers.  But it isn’t the finish line; it’s the start of the next phase of the journey.

For more than a year, newly hired apprentices continue to receive regular check-ins, help with transportation, and continuing education from Kitchens for Good as they build experience, develop advanced technical skills, and work toward earning their apprenticeship certificate.

This combination of classroom instruction, paid on-the-job training, and continued support is what sets our model apart. We don’t simply prepare people for employment; we remain present and continue to invest in their success.

Meet a few of the newly hired apprentices and their employer:

Angel is a prep cook at Roy’s.
Rob has joined Little Roma as a prep cook.
Carlos is a prep cook at The Loma Club.
Q is working as a cook for Kitchens for Good at the Youth Transition Campus.
Dez is a line cook at Belmont Village Senior Living.

Congratulations, apprentices, and thank you to the employers who continue to pay it forward.
